Strengthening communications ahead of NA election

On the evening of March 28, the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lieu Giai Ward (Ba Dinh District, Hanoi) held a conference to give comments and cast votes of confidence from voters' in Residential Area No. 8 to the candidates for election to the 15th NA.

At the conference, 100% of the voters voted unanimously to introduce Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh – a candidate from the residential area for the 15th NA, to run for a NA deputy slot at the upcoming NA term.

Voters assessed that Minh had a firm political and ideological stance, with ethical qualities, good lifestyle, and always be close to and understand the people's thoughts and aspirations. He has sufficient capacity, intelligence and strategic vision to perform the tasks assigned by the Party, State and NA, they stated.

Speaking at the conference, Minh emphasised that this is an honour and a great responsibility to meet the trust and expectation of the voters towards the elected NA deputies. The deputy PM affirmed that the voters' sincere and practical suggestion at the conference expressed their concerns about the country's development and was an encouragement for the nominated candidates to continue to attach to the people and listen to recommendations from voters in their place of residence.

* The Standing Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - Hanoi chapter has held a briefing meeting to gather public opinion that officials, Party members and people are interested in. Accordingly, the public is concerned about the consolidation of a number of leadership positions in the State, the upcoming NA election, and the prevention and fighting against COVID-19.

* In Ho Chi Minh City, the local districts carried out important works, including hosting a symposium to improve the quality of election supervision, focusing on communications campaigns towards the election, and providing training on the Front's work on inspection operations and monitoring the election.

* Dak Lak Provincial Election Steering Committee has informed that it has stepped up the information work and communications on the election, while implementing plans to ensure security, social order and safety against COVID-19 in the province.

* The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen Province has provided training and propagating on the elections of deputies to the 15th NA and the People's Councils at all levels in the districts of Kim Dong, An Thi, Phu Cu and Yen My./.
