On December 12, 19 groups and 28 individuals were honored in Da Nang for the contributions to fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam.

The ceremony was co-organized by “Tuoi tre” (Youth) Newspaper in Ho Chi Minh and the Da Nang municipal Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
Health workers are among those fighting the coronavirus at the frontline by preventing pathogens, testing, detecting, quarantining, treating, and zoning. When the COVID-19 resurged in Da Nang, doctors from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and other localities volunteered to give Da Nang a hand. They were joined by the police, military personnel, and border guards, who are also on duty round the clock.
The program on grateful to the frontline against COVID-19 launched on December 6, received a positive response and companionship of individuals and businesses at home and abroad. As of December 11, it received cash and gifts worth more than 28 billion VND. From this contribution, the program has had many activities to support medical equipment, share with the front line forces to prevent COVID-19, support people in difficult circumstances affected by the pandemic.
