Vietnamese Ambassador to Morocco Dang Thi Thu Ha recently met leaders of a number of Morocco's parties, thanked the parties for their congratulatory letters to the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and briefed them on the results of the Congress.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Morocco Dang Thi Thu Ha met Mr. Nabil Benabdell, General Secretary of the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS); Mr. Driss Lachguar, First Secretary of the Union of Socialists and Popular Forces (USFP), and Mr. Al Aabadella Maelainin, Vice Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Justice and Development Party (PJD-Governing Party).
During the meetings, the Vietnamese Ambassador presented the main content of the document of the 13th National Party Congress in the fields of socio-economics, Party building and political system, Vietnam's foreign policy and guidelines, and objectives, direction, and tasks in the coming time.

In terms of foreign policy, the ambassador emphasized that Vietnam continues to consistently implement the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification; proactively and actively integrating into the world comprehensively, extensively and effectively; maintaining a peaceful and stable environment, constantly improving Vietnam's international position and prestige, as well as affirming that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always attach great importance to and desire to maintain and develop the friendship with the parties, the State and the people of Morocco.
On this occasion, the ambassador also thanked the leaders and party members of the parties for supporting the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Vietnamese people in the previous struggle for independence, as well as in the development of the country today. At the same time, she also discussed measures to further strengthen the relationship between the CPV and the above parties.
The two sides also exchanged about coordination in organizing activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Vietnam-Morocco relations in 2021, especially the project of the Vietnamese community to build the Vietnam Gate in a Vietnamese village in the suburbs of Kenitra city.
Party leaders extended congratulations on the success of the Congress, congratulated General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and believed that under the leadership of the CPV, the Vietnamese people would make more achievements in the development process of the country, and successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
Particularly, leaders of all parties said that they regularly monitor the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Vietnam and expressed their admiration for the achievements that Vietnam has made in recent time, and highly appreciated the drastic and timely measures of the Government, as well as the awareness of the Vietnamese people.
Leaders of the above parties affirmed their desire to strengthen relations with the CPV, and are ready to support and coordinate with the Vietnamese Embassy in Morocco in activities to promote relations between the two countries and the two Parties.
Mr. Nabil Benabdellah, General Secretary of the Progressive and Socialist Party (PPS), former Minister of Territorial Planning and City Policy, said that he visited Vietnam in 2014, paid tribute to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and visited Uncle's hometown.
He was especially impressed by the creative, dynamic, hospitable Vietnam and the symbol of the struggle for national independence and national construction.
He also said that he was very proud of the close relationship between the PPS Party and the CPV, and wished that after the COVID-19 pandemic is under control, he will be able to welcome the CPV's delegations to visit Morocco, as well as organize delegations of the PPS Party to visit Vietnam.
Mr. Driss Lachguar, First Secretary of the USFP, affirmed that Vietnam and Morocco have many similarities, especially the common historical memory, and said that this plays an important role in promoting the relationship between the two countries.
He expressed his belief that thanks to its intelligence and active contribution to world peace, Vietnam will make an important contribution in the role of a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2020-2021 term.
He suggested that a webinar with representatives of the CPV could be organized to discuss issues of concern, especially experience in organization and building the party and strengthening the role of the party in development of the country.
Mr. Al Aabadella Maelainin, Vice Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Justice and Development Party, said that with its strategic location in the northernmost part of Africa, right next to Europe and at the crossroads of major East/West and North/South maritime routes linking Asia, Europe, America and Africa, Morocco can be a gateway for Vietnamese enterprises to export goods to Africa.
On the contrary, with its position and active role in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Vietnam can serve as a gateway to help Morocco strengthen ties with these countries.
He also suggested that it is necessary to further strengthen exchanges between the CPV and the PJD, possibly online in the immediate future, and suggested that the two countries should promote each other so that people and businesses of both sides understand each other better./.
