(13th Congress) – On March 17, the Standing Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tien Giang held the second consultation meeting to agree on the preliminary list of candidates to be deputies of the 15th NA and the Tien Giang People’s Council for the 2021 – 2026 term.

The list of candidates to be National Assembly (NA) deputies introduced by Tien Giang province has 12 candidates; of which 7 are key cadres under the management of the Central and provincial Party Committees, 1 is outside the Party, 5 women, 2 are seeking re-election and 1 is under 40 years old.
The meeting unanimously introduced a list of 105 candidates for the provincial People’s Council deputies, including 1 self-nominated candidate and 104 candidates nominated by agencies and units, to elect 61 delegates.
Among them, there are 27 people under 40 years old (accounting for 25.71%) and 44 women (41.9%). Notably, 53 out of the 105 candidates are working in provincial departments or agencies, 51 are working in districts, cities, towns and 1 is a self-nominated candidate.
According to Resolution 1185 and Resolution 1193 of the NA Standing Committee, Tien Giang will have 8 NA deputies elected, in which 5 delegates are residing and working in the locality and 3 delegates are introduced by the Party Central Committee./.
