Ambassador Daniel Kritenbrink emphasized that the recent progress made by Vietnam and the US in negotiation on building the headquarters of the US Embassy in Hanoi is a highlight in the 25-year milestone of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.

On this occasion, Ambassador Daniel Kritenbrink informed about the US Peace Program in Vietnam to be deployed in the near future. Since the Vietnam-US Framework Agreement was signed in 2016, the two countries have negotiated the Peace Program's enforcement agreement on English language teaching to support Vietnamese schools in improving the quality of teaching. Accordingly, every year, the US will send volunteers to teach English to Vietnam. Ambassador Daniel Kritenbrink said that the program will contribute more positively to the Vietnam-US relationship.

Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Chu Ngoc Anh highly appreciated the US-Vietnam relationship, adding that he was pleased to see the relationship between Hanoi and US localities increasingly developing. Regarding the construction of the US Embassy headquarters in Hanoi, the Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized that Hanoi will have the highest responsibility in completing the land lease procedures as soon as possible, so that the two sides can develop a draft agreement on this./.
