(13th Congress) - A delegation from the National Assembly Standing Committee and the National Election Council, led by General To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, on April 19 inspected the preparations for election of deputies of the NA term XV and People’s Council term 2021-2026 at all levels.

According to Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Council and Chairman of the City Election Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, the preparations for the election have been made thoroughly and effectively.
The recent third consultative meeting adopted 19 candidates who withdrew their participation in the election of NA deputies; adopted a list of 8 candidates of NA deputies, not including the number of candidates allocated by the central level; and adopted a list of 89 candidates of deputies to the City People’s Council.
Praising the thorough preparations of the city, General To Lam noted that the city should pay more attention to the struggle against wrong ideology and information, especially on cyber space; and prevent illegal border crossing.
He also asked the city to strictly inspect the list of voters to ensure their citizens’ rights, satisfying the election’s demand in choosing deserving deputies, and making the election become the festival of the whole people./.
