(13th Congress) - On May 11, Mr. Nguyen Thi Le, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee and Chairwoman of the city People’s Council, presented Resolution of the NA Standing Committee approving the election of Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, member of the Executive Board of the city Party Committee, as Deputy Chairman of the 9th city People’s Council for the 2016-2021 term.
Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the HCM city People’s Committee Vo Van Hoan presented the decision assigning Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Chairman of the District 1 People’s Committee, to work at the Office of the delegation of the NA and the city People’s Council.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dung was born in 1972. He has a Master of Politics, Bachelor of Law, Bachelor of Economics and high-level Political Theory.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dung has experienced positions such as Standing Deputy Secretary of the Tan Phu district Party Committee, Head of the Department of Economics-Budget of the HCM city People’s Council, and Chairman of the District 1 People’s Committee.
At the end of April 2021, in the 25th session, the last session of the 9th HCM city People’s Council, delegates elected Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Chairman of the district 1 People’s Committee, as Deputy Chairman of the city People’s Council for the 2016-2021 term./.
