According to the Czech media, the new Vietnamese leaders will continue to bring socio-economic development to the country in the context of the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic around the world. One of the top priority goals of Vietnam in the coming term is to continue enhancing its position and prestige in the international arena, moving towards a plan to turn Vietnam into a comprehensively developed country by the middle of the 21st century, as determined after the 13th National Party Congress.

The Czech media noted that the new Vietnamese leaders are highly trusted and experienced in taking important leadership positions, playing an excellent role in both preventing the COVID-19 pandemic and boosting economic development and national integration into the global economy.

In terms of economic development, although Vietnam is affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam is still one of the few countries in the world achieving positive growth of 2.9% in 2020. In terms of foreign cooperation, in recent years, Vietnam has actively and proactively participated in bilateral and multilateral cooperation frameworks, contributing to creating a favorable environment for the cause of national construction and defense.

In 2020, despite the world's difficult situation due to COVID-19, Vietnam successfully assumed the role of ASEAN President and non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council. The articles also assessed that Vietnam is increasingly integrating deeply into the global economy and becoming an important trading partner of the EU in general and the Czech Republic in particular.

Assessing the traditional friendship between the Czech Republic and Vietnam, the Czech media said that the relationship between the two countries has been continuously strengthened through bilateral visits by leaders of the two countries, especially the visit of current State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc in 2019 when he was Prime Minister. The Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic is increasingly integrated into the host society and plays a role as a bridge in the bilateral relationship.

According to the Czech media, the new leadership of the State, the Government and the National Assembly of Vietnam and the traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Czech Republic will help Vietnam make new progress in the ratification and implementation of the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA)./.
