(13th Congress) - The third consultative meeting across 63 provinces and cities introduced 6,220 people eligible for the election of deputies to provincial and city People’s Councils term 2021-2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee has reported.

Accordingly, female candidates account for 2,542 (40.9%) of the total, while ethnic minority people are 1,150 (18.5%). The number of candidates who are non-Party members is 750 (12.1%). Those numbers in the last term were 37.04%, 15.31% and 11.57%, respectively.
Seventeen of eligible people are self-nominated candidates, accounting for 0.27%.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front also reported that the third consultative meeting was held democratically, legally and safely, as its branches at all levels had made great efforts to make best preparations for the meeting./.
