On April 28, the Party Committee of Son La Border Guards held a conference to review the five-year implementation of the Directive 05-CT/TW on May 15, 2016 of the Politburo on promoting studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics and lifestyle.

Over the past 5 years, the Party Committee of Son La Provincial Party Committee has held conferences to grasp thoroughly the Resolution; instruct cadres, party members and soldiers to specifically register their studies and follow Uncle Ho’s ideology, ethics and lifestyle.

During the implementation of Directive 05-CT/TW, many models and good examples were praised. In particular, the model "Raise your step to school" was maintained by the Party Committee of the Provincial Border Guard. 82 students, including 10 children from Laos, were supported 500,000 VND per month for each. The "Breakfast for me" program supported 60 primary school students; and maintained eight literacy classes in some localities to help limit drop-out in many residential areas.

The Party Committee of the Provincial Party Committee organized 50 programs related to the border guard; supported people in border communes to build 4 models of planting fruit trees on sloping land with an area of over 5 ha.

On this occasion, the High Command of Border Guard awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 3 individuals; The Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives; The Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 2 individuals; the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 7 individuals, and the High Command of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo./.
