(13th Congress) - Deputy Prime Minister (PM) has signed a Decision amending and supplementing Decision 200/QD-TTg dated February 14, 2017, approving the Action Plan to improve competitive capacity and develop Vietnam’s logistics services by 2025.
Logistics services to make up 5-6 percent of GDP by 2025
Specifically, by 2025, the contribution proportion of logistics services to GDP will reach 5-6%, growth rate of logistics services will post 15-20%, logistics outsourcing rate will reach 50-60%, logistics costs will decrease to 16-20% of GDP, and the industry ranking on LPI index (national logistics capacity index) will post more than 50.
The decision also added a roadmap for the plan’s implementation. In 2021, the country focuses on reviewing the implementation and continues to realize the tasks of competitiveness and developing logistics services. In 2022, it will continue the tasks of improving competitiveness and developing logistics services in Vietnam.
In 2023, tasks are preliminarily reviewing and evaluating the results of implementing the Action Plan, and preparing the theoretical and practical basis for researching and building the Vietnam Logistics Services Development Strategy in the 2025-2035 period, with a vision to 2045.
In 2024, it will continue to realize the tasks of enhancing competitiveness and developing Vietnam’s logistics services; organizing the building of Vietnam logistics service development strategy for the 2025-2035 period, with a vision to 2045.
And in 2025, the country will review and evaluate the results of implementing the Action Plan; carrying out the Vietnam logistics services development strategy for the 2025-2035 period, with a vision to 2045./.
