Over 280 outstanding tourism individuals and businesses in 2019 honoured

This is an annual activity of the association within the framework of the annual VITM, to honor businesses and individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the field of accommodation, travel, tourism and culinary services.

Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, Secretary General and Vice President of VITA, affirmed that individuals and businesses honored are the pride of the sector. VITA will continue to promote the emulation movements to have more individuals and businesses achieving the typical titles of the Vietnamese tourism.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized that in spite of facing difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism sector has had many activities to stimulate domestic tourism demand. In a short time, the growth rate of tourism has increased.

At the event, 162 typical businesses, who are travel companies, hotels, and travel-related units, and 122 individuals, who are managers, business directors, chefs, reporters, and editors, were honoured for making excellent contributions to Vietnam's tourism sector.

VITA also presented cups to 10 leading three-star hotels of Vietnam in 2019 and the top 14 leading international travel enterprises in Vietnam in 2019, as well as honored 15 excellent travel business directors; and 14 directors of accommodation facilities or those doing other jobs such as receptionist, maid or chef./.
