According to Nghiem Vu Khai, VUSTA Vice President, under the theme “Fostering initiatives and actions by the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (AFEO) to build a sustainable and prosperous ASEAN community,” the conference will be attended by Government leaders who will present certificates of ASEAN professional engineering to 112 Vietnamese engineers.
“Being granted the certificates, the engineers will have advantages at bidding on international-relating projects,” said Phan Van Tan, VUSTA Vice President, adding that this round of certifications would bring the total number of Vietnamese engineers with ASEAN professional engineering certificates to 322.
Currently, there are nearly 3,000 ASEAN professional engineers registered, of which the most are Malaysian, with nearly 1,000.

CAFEO is held annually among the 10 ASEAN member states on a rotating basis. Established in 1982, the federation is made up of various engineering institutions in the region./.
