The project will be built on an area of 8 hectares, with a capacity of 24,000 tons per year, using a capital of VND436.9 billion.
The project is expected to be put into official operation in the fourth quarter of 2023.
The project aims to treat, process and preserve agricultural products and foodstuffs in An Hoa, Thanh Luong and Dong Minh Communes, Vinh Bao District, with the total initial production area of 200 hectares, and later increasing to 300-500 hectares.
It will contribute to the development of the agricultural sector of Vinh Bao District and Hai Phong City, helping increase the value of crop products and raise the income of local people.
Previously, the whole city had only 1 enterprise investing in the formation of a large-scale, professional high-tech agricultural production zone, which was carried out in 2016. It was VinEco Co., Ltd., invested on 215 hectares in Tan Lien Commune, Tam Da District, with a total investment of over VND450 billion, specializing in high quality root vegetables, fruits and leaf trees. This is also one of the major policies of the city on hi-tech agricultural development./.
