(13th Congress) - Hai Phong City will build dozens of additional bridges in the next 5 years, using a capital of nearly VND38 trillion, representatives from the City Department of Transport said on February 28.

According to the department, the first 5 bridges will be completed from now until the end of 2021. The plan of building 57 bridges is expected to be adopted this year. Meanwhile, the department proposes the building of 29 bridges from 2022 to 2025.
Apart from this, 19 bridge projects are being built in the city, using a capital of over VND7 trillion.
According to Le Van Thanh, Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee, the city will focus on completing and inaugurating ongoing constructions; carry out procedures to start the construction of the Ben Rung and Nguyen Trai Bridges; and upgrade the national way 10. “Additionally, the construction of a series of bridges linking the city with Hai Duong, Quang Ninh and Thai Binh Provinces will start,” he added.
From 2015 to 2020, Hai Phong City built 46 bridges./.
