According to the trade office, the Australian construction and building materials market is booming. During the past week, it has exchanged and urged associations in Australian and Vietnamese exporters to continue promoting export of construction materials, decorations, furniture, exterior, garden, in the context of many Australians flocking to buy homes.
In 2021, the trade office will organize international fairs to seek goods sources from Vietnam. In addition, on the Viet-Aus trade application (Trade Model 4.0), it also provided a database of importers, connected trade, provided tax flow lookups and import conditions and also opened a channel for enterprises in the construction sector to advertise themselves.
Since the beginning of last year, following the economic recovery plan of the Australian Government, the trade office has worked with associations in Australia and exporters in Vietnam to ask advice of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Embassy, to be permitted to organize an online international exhibition to see goods sources from Vietnam. The event is expected to help Vietnamese businesses to access Australian market promptly.
As a result, export turnover from Vietnam to Australia in related industries has grown strongly: wood and wooden products up 34.4%, electric wires, cables and wires up 207.9%, products made from iron and steel up 12.15%, iron and steel of all kinds up 78.14%, and ceramics up 37.96%./.
