Party official asks for further improvement of ethnic minority people’s living standard

In a meeting with the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee on January 12, she listed the targets of maintaining economic growth rate, continuing political stability, firmly protecting national border sovereignty, and achieving sustainable poverty reduction.

She stressed that in 2021, the province should continue to maintain political stability, ensure national border security and sovereignty, carry out the 13th National Party Congress and the 17th provincial Party Congress resolutions, complete socio-economic development planning, combine economic development with social development, increase ethnic minority people’s living standard, and preserve cultural identity.

She also requested the province to do well the election of deputies to the 15th NA and the People’s Councils at all levels for term 2021-2026.

According to Bui Van Cuong, Party Central Committee member and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, in 2020, apart from the effective prevention of COVID-19, the province gained remarkable progress in economic development. “Cultural, sports, and social security activities continued to be strengthened; land and mineral management, environmental protection and climate change response were focused on, progress in administrative reform and improvement in business investment environment and competitiveness were reported, and national defense and security continued to be reinforced,” he said./.
