According to the report of the Election Council of Lao Cai province, the locality will elect six deputies to the 15th legislature and deputies of Provincial People’s Council, term 2021-2026. At the the second consultation meeting, participants agreed to prepare a preliminary list of candidates for the elections of deputies to the 15th legislature and all-levels of People’s Councils for the 2021-2026 tenure in order to implement the next steps of the consultation process for candidates; at the same time, to collect comments and confidence from the voters at the residence for the candidates.

Lao Cai province established 1,138 constituencies. The lists of voters have also been publicly posted in line with regulations.

Addressing the working session, NA Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai appreciated preparations for the election in the province. Candidate referrers are distributed structure, composition, and quantity according to appropriate blocks, branches, fields, the necessary balance and the combined structure are guaranteed according to the guidance of the Central Government.

He asked all levels, branches, political and social organizations to step up dissemination on the election, especially citizens' right to vote and stand for election./.
