Khanh Hoa province has 3 constituencies for National Assembly deputies, 14 constituencies for Provincial People's Council deputies, and 73 constituencies for district-level People's Council deputies. Up to now, the Election Committee of Khanh Hoa province has completed election preparation examination for the first round in all districts, towns and cities.
Truong Sa Island district includes Truong Sa town, Song Tu Tay commune and Sinh Ton commune. Due to the islands’ distance from the mainland, voters live in many islands, so the Election Committee of Khanh Hoa province has consulted the National Election Council to hold the election one week earlier than the regulation.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Thu Mai, Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Khanh Hoa province, the localities are collecting voters' opinions in residential places for the nominated candidates and making a list of voters. Due to the characteristics of Truong Sa Island district, the Provincial Election Committee has sent a document to the National Election Council to propose early election on May 16, in the communes and towns belonging to Truong Sa Island district./.
