(13th Congress) - On May 5, the Election Committee of Bac Ninh province held a conference to evaluate the results and implement the next task for the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly (NA) and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.

Bac Ninh province has issued plans to well implement regulations on prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic and handle arising medical situations related to the election.
Director of the Internal Affairs Department of Bac Ninh Nguyen Trong Tan said that the provincial Election Committee actively directed all levels, branches and localities in the province to implement the election in accordance with the plan, requirements and progress of the law.
Aiming to achieve high results, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Party Committee Dao Hong Lan asked the provincial Election Committee, Party Executive Committees, authorities, Fatherland Fronts and functional branches to focus on leading and ensuring the election in a democratic, equal, and lawful manner.
In addition, all levels and branches were asked to enhance the popularization of the meaning and importance of the election, the provisions of the Law on the NA Election People’s Council; encourage voters to voluntarily and actively participate in the election, and carefully study the list of candidates.
Bac Ninh has 3 constituencies for the 15th NA election, 15 constituencies for the provincial People’s Council election, 74 constituencies for the district People’s Council election and 937 constituencies for the communal People’s Council election.
The whole province established 973 polling stations and 973 electoral teams. As of April 13, 2021, the establishment and listing of voters has been carried out by law with a total of 858,787 voters.
Bac Ninh has announced a list of 13 candidates running for seats of the 15th NA by each constituency; 97 candidates for the provincial People’s Council, 449 candidates for the district People’s Councils deputies and 5,349 candidates for the communal People’s Councils./.
